[origin: WO8607333A1] A metal tie comprises a strip (10) of metal which is formed with apertures (12) at intervals along its entire length, and a metal head-member (14) attached to one end of the strip. The head member defines an aperture (16) for the free end (15) of the strip to be passed through, and has a tang (18) which will locate into the apertures (16) of the strip and prevent its retraction once tied. The apertured strip (10) may be cut to length from a reel or other supply of the strip in indefinite length, then be attached to the head-member e.g. by welding or by having its end inserted through the head and simply bent back on itself.

Attache métallique comprenant une bande (10) de métal munie d'ouvertures (12) situées à intervalles le long de sa longueur et un élément à tête métallique (14) fixé à une extrémité de la bande. L'élément à tête présente une ouverture (16) destinée à recevoir l'extrémité libre (15) de la bande et comprend une languette (18) destinée à venir se placer dans les ouvertures (16) de la bande pour éviter qu'elle ne se rétracte une fois attachée. La bande (10) munie d'ouvertures peut être coupée en longueur à partir d'une bobine ou de tout autre support d'alimentation en bobine de bande de longueur indéfinie. Elle peut ensuite être fixée à l'élément à tête par exemple par soudure ou par insertion de son extrémité dans la tête et être simplement repliée sur elle-même.
