1. Hospital stretcher-carrier comprising a moving base (2-3) resting on the floor and a structure (5-6-10-11-12) intended for bearing patient's body, the level of which can vary with respect to the floor, characterized in that said structure comprises a beam (6-12) extending in the longitudinal direction of the carrier and a plurality of substantially rigid tables (10-11), supported only by said beam (6-12) and able to slide on both sides of the beam substantially orthogonally to the centre line of said beam (6-12), the beam (6-12) being connected to the base by a means for adjusting (4-5) the level with respect to the floor.

Chariot hospitalier comportant une embase mobile (2+3) reposant sur le sol et une structure (6-10-11-12) dont le niveau par rapport au sol est variable, ladite structure étant destinée à porter le corps du malade, la structure (6-10-11-12) comporte une pluralité de tablettes (10-11) sensiblement rigides uniquement soutenues par une même poutre (6-12) et pouvant coulisser par rapport à celle-ci sensiblement orthogonalement par rapport à l'axe du corps du malade à transporter, ladite poutre étant reliée à l'embase par un moyen de réglage du niveau par rapport au sol. Ce chariot comporte un abattant (16-17) en une seule pièce, pivotant à l'aide des charnières (15), ledit abattant pouvant être placé, soit en position verticale, soit en position horizontale et venant dans cette dernière postion combler les espaces libres entre les zones susceptibles d'être occupées par les tablettes (10-11) quand elles sont coulissées dans la position de soutien du corps du malade.
