[origin: EP0227032A2] Rabitz-type pincers with two handle legs (11, 12), each having a jaw bit (14, 15), are connected by means of a pivot joint (13). According to the invention, in a handle region (17) corresponding approximately to a hand width, the shape of the handle legs (11, 12) is chosen so that their outer contour (18) corresponds approximately to the form of an ellipse (19).
