La combinaison d'une unité à capteur de mesure, d'une unité de dosage et d'une unité de commande permet d'exécuter toutes les mesures d'entretien rendues nécessaires au cours de la surveillance du processus en exigeant peu de temps et de travail et sans enlever la sonde du récipient contenant le milieu à mesurer. En outre, cette combinaison par laquelle toutes les fonctions pour l'exécution de l'entretien peuvent être déclenchées et/ou commandées à l'aide de signaux pneumatiques, permet d'automatiser au moins partiellement l'entretien.
