[origin: DE3520445A1] This device comprises a first suction device (14) operated at an under-pressure, which is designed to receive a flat valve-type sack (1), on one of its sides in the region of the side valve (6), and which can be moved in order to bring it into an at least partially vertical intermediate position and can be pivoted around a horizontal axis; a second suction device (15) which is movably arranged in relation to the pivoting position of the first suction device (14) which determines the intermediate position mentioned, and lies opposite the latter device, in order to open the side valve (6) of the sack (1); and a further system (13, 20, 21, 18) for transporting the open valve sack and bringing the latter on to a filling tube (7) of the filling machine (8). With such a device a valve sack with a side valve can be received by a storage stack (10), the side valve (6) safely opened and finally the opened sack (1) inserted on the filling tube of the filling machine.
