[origin: EP0228964A1] Fast-acting electromagnet comprising two concentric toroidal windings (11 and 12) whose working faces are substantially coplanar and which are arranged in housings in the yoke (5) of a magnetic circuit whose non-laminated moving element (16) can move parallel to the axis of the windings (11 and 12), the face (5a) of the yoke (5) situated on the air-gap side having a truncated conical cavity, and the moving element (16) having, on the air-gap side, a truncated conical face (16a) complementary to that (5a) of the yoke (5).
