[origin: WO8700630A1] A method and apparatus in which body fluid chemistry is measured in either differential or non-differential mode using apparatus of the kind employed in infusing fluids into patients' blood streams, either with or without combination with such infusion, to the end that measurement of body fluid chemistry is conveniently and measured automatically at selected frequency. The infusant is contained in a bag (14) which hangs from arm (16) of the pole. The infusant flows by a flowpath, in this case conduit (18), to a flow pump and controller (20). Thereafter, it flows by a continuation of the flowpath in tube (22) past an analyzer instrument (24) to an electrode bloc (26). The bloc (26) is strapped to the patient's wrist. A tube (28) conducts fluid from block (26) to an intravenous needle (30).

Procédé et appareil permettant de mesurer les composants chimiques de fluides du corps suivant un mode différentiel ou non différentiel en utilisant un appareil du genre employé pour la perfusion de fluide dans les courants sanguins d'un patient, de manière combinée ou non avec une telle perfusion, dans le but de mesurer les composants chimiques des fluides du corps de manière avantageuse et automatiquement à une fréquence sélectionnée. Le liquide à perfuser est contenu dans une poche (14) qui pend d'un bras (16) d'un support vertical. Le liquide à perfuser s'écoule par un chemin d'écoulement, dans ce cas le conduit (18), vers une pompe d'écoulement et un contrôleur (20). Ensuite, il s'écoule par une continuation du chemin d'écoulement dans le tube (22) au-delà d'un instrument d'analyse (24) vers un bloc d'électrode (26). Le bloc (26) est attaché par une sangle au poignet du patient. Un tube (28) conduit le fluide du bloc (26) vers une aiguille intraveineuse (30).
