[origin: WO8700464A1] An automatic lathe with two parallel working spindles (12a, 12b), possessing on a common base (14) three cross-slides (20a, 20b, 20c) with different longitudinal slides (24a, 24b, 24c) the two outer slides operating with only one spindle. The central cross-slide (20c) with its longitudinal slide (24a) and the tools mounted thereon can be used with the two working spindles (12a, 12b). The central slide (20c) is driven by a separate shaft (34c) located in an additional groove-shaped channel in the slide, which is in the form of a guide beam. The arrangement of the third slide (20c) avoids dead time in either of the working spindles (12a or 12b) and reduces total machining time.

Un tour automatique ayant deux broches parallèles de travail (12a, 12b) présente sur une coulisse commune (14) trois coulisseaux (20a, 20b, 20c) portant des chariots longitudinaux différents (24a, 24b, 24c) les deux chariots extérieurs étant subordonnés chacun à une seule broche de travail, alors que le coulisseau central (20c) avec son chariot longitudinal (24a) et les outils qui y sont attachés peut être utilisé avec les deux broches de travail (12a, 12b). Pour entraîner le coulisseau central (20c), un arbre séparé d'entraînement (34c) est agencé dans un canal supplémentaire en forme de rainure de la coulisse en forme de barre de guidage. L'agencement du troisième coulisseau (20c) permet d'éviter des temps morts de l'une ou de l'autre broche de travail (12a, 12b) et de réduire la durée totale d'usinage.
