Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0229332A2] In the sectional post (1) for an assembly wall, there are tongues (11) which can be bent open into a position between the two legs (7) and essentially at right angles to these, screws (9) screwed through panels (1, 3, 4) being screwed in the leg (7) by a self-tapping of their threads. It is desirable if the sectional post should, after assembly, provide an assembly wall improved in terms of the planeness of the outer face of the wall shell. This is achieved in that the tongue (11) is of such length and width that, in the bent-open state, it extends with a supporting effect in the region of the outer leg half between the two legs (7) and absorbs, without any appreciable bending, the forces occurring on the leg (7) as a result of the self-tapping screws (9). The sectional post is so stiffened by means of the tongues that the pressure on the self-tapping screws can no longer bend the leg and the panels. <IMAGE>
