[origin: WO8601762A1] A hand-operated sanding or polishing tool, consisting of a continuous sanding or polishing strip (6) which is tensioned over an essentially flat section, which has at least one folded leg (1). The leg or legs (1) are arranged to have spring action in relation to the essentially flat section, so that the sanding or polishing strip (6) is held under tension. The spring material can be made of strip steel or elastomers. An elastic intermediate layer in the form of an endless strip (9) can be arranged between the sanding or polishing strip (6) and the tool body.

Un outil manuel à bande abrasive ou de polissage, comportant une bande continue abrasive ou de polissage (6) qui est tendue sur une section essentiellement plane, dotée d'au moins une partie recourbée (1). Cette ou ces partie(s) recourbée(s) sont conçue(s) de manière à fonctionner en ressort par rapport à la section essentiellement plane, pour que la bande abrasive ou de polissage (6) soit tenue sous tension. Le matériau à ressort peut être réalisé en bande d'acier ou d'élastomères. Une couche intermédiaire sous forme d'une bande sans fin (9) peut être disposée entre la bande abrasive ou de polissage (6) et le corps de l'outil.
