[origin: US4746157A] A lifting device is provided for rapidly coupling and uncoupling a floating load, such as a boat, when it is set afloat or raised from the water. It includes essentially a hook secured to the load and a coupling element connected by cables to a lifting appliance. The concavity of the hook is turned downwards. Its section is trapezoidal and tapers towards its tip. The coupling element includes two arms whose facing walls are slanted and guide the hook towards the central housing. Springs, disposed laterally in the housing, come to bear against the lateral slanting faces of the hook and prevent it from leaving again.

Dispositif de levage permettant de coupler et de désaccoupler rapidement une charge flottante, telle qu'un bateau, pendant sa mise à l'eau ou son relevage. Il comporte essentiellement un crochet (1) solidaire de la charge et un élément d'accrochage (3) relié par des câbles (13) à un engin de levage. La concavité du crochet est tournée vers le bas. Sa section est trapézoïdale et va en diminuant du côté de sa pointe. L'élément d'accrochage comporte deux bras (4, 5) dont les parois en regard (8) sont inclinées et guident le crochet vers un logement central (6). Des ressorts (21), disposés latéralement dans le logement, viennent s'appuyer sur les faces latérales inclinées du crochet et l'empêchent de ressortir.
