[origin: US4813904A] For the production of panels of a toy construction set, a base element of rectangular shape is disclosed, which as at least two square openings axa, and which constitutes a flat hollow body, which is open on one large rectangular surface. The distance of the openings from the outer surfaces of the base element is a/2. Preferably, the base element has at least eight openings, which are arranged in at least two rows which lie on top of each other in rectangular array, each row comprising at least four openings which are next to each other.

Zur Herstellung von Platten für ein Baukastensystem wird ein Grundelement von rechteckiger Gestalt vorgeschlagen, das mindestens zwei quadratische Durchbrüche a × a aufweist, die um die Entfernung a voneinander beabstandet sind, und das einen flachen Hohlkörper darstellt, der zu der einen großen Rechteckfläche hin offen ist. Der Abstand dieser Durchbrüche zu den äußeren Begrenzungsflächen des Grundelements beträgt a/2. Vorzugsweise weist das Grundelement acht Durchbrüche auf, die in zwei übereinanderliegenden Reihen von je vier Durchbrüchen nebeneinander angeordnet sind.
