[origin: WO8700730A1] Novel aryltriazolinone compounds of formula (I), in which R is a radical selected from the group consisting of methyl, ethyl, 1-methylethyl, methoxymethyl, 2-methoxyethyl, 1-methyl-2-methoxyethyl, 2-propenyl, 2-propynyl, and 1-methyl-2-propynyl have herbicidal utility against a variety of grassy and broadleaf weeds in both preemergence and postemergence applications and show a selectivity favorable to cotton in preemergence applications.

Nouveaux composés d'aryltriazolinone de formule (I) dans laquelle R est un radical sélectionné dans le groupe constitué de méthyle, éthyle, 1-méthyléthyle, méthoxyméthyle, 2-méthoxyéthyle, 1-méthyl-2-méthoxyéthyle, 2-propényle, 2-propynyle, et 1-méthyl-2-propynyle, ayant une utilité herbicide contre une variété de mauvaises herbes herbues et latifoliées dans des applications de préémergence et de post-émergence et présentant une sélectivité favorable au coton dans des applications de préémergence.
