Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0231423A2] The transparent construction or wall element, especially window, has a reversible glass-pane arrangement and consists of an axially symmetrical, especially rectangular or equiangially trapezoidal stationary frame (22) and of a moveable frame (24) which is pivotable in the stationary frame about a rectangular centre line (28) out of its first fixable sealed-off position through 180 DEG into a second fixable sealed-off position and in which a transparent anisotropic pane (26) faces outwards (or inwards) with one pane face or the other. The element also has actuating devices for fixing and/or sealing off in the two positions as a result of the displacement of the moveable frame (24) in the direction of the pivot axis (28), in one fixable position a tongue-and-groove connection being obtained between the frame sides of the two frames perpendicular to the pivot axis. The actuating device comprises a pushing drive (30) arranged at one end of the axis. According to the invention, the fitting comprises flap-like strips (68,70,100) equipped with sealing means, attached to the stationary frame (22) and pivotable away from the pivotable frame (24). <IMAGE>
