Abstract (en)
The wheelchair is of the type comprising a chassis (1) equipped with rolling members, the said chassis (1) being collapsible so as to bring the side rolling members closer to one another by reduction of the space between them. The chair possesses an elevating structure (2) articulated to the chassis (1) and consisting of two deformable parallelograms, between which the seat is mounted and which are movable from a substantially horizontal, so-called seated position to a substantially vertical, so- called upright position. The chair is equipped, between the side components of the chassis (1), with an axial caliper, to one, fixed lower arm (6) of which the components of the rolling chassis (1) are linked in an articulated and collapsible manner, and to the other arm (22) of which, the said arm (22) being articulated and movable, the deformable parallelograms of the elevating structure (2) are linked in an articulated manner by means of a centrally folding cross-bar (16) with a latch (21) which controls the collapsing or the locking in the open position of the elevating structure (2) and the rolling chassis (1), a controllable, gas-operated jack (24) being arranged between the arms (6, 22) of the caliper. <IMAGE>

Le fauteuil roulant, pliant et élévateur est du type comprenant un châssis (1) doté d'organes de roulement, le dit châssis (1) étant pliant en sorte de rapprocher les uns des autres les organes de roulement latéraux par réduction de leur écartement. Le fauteuil comporte une structure élévatrice (2) articulée au châssis (1) et constituée de deux parallélogrammes déformables, entre lesquels est monté le siège et qui sont mobiles d'une position dite assise sensiblement horizontale à une position dite debout sensiblement verticale. Le fauteuil est doté entre les éléments latéraux du châssis (1) d'un compas axial à une branche inférieure fixe (6) duquel sont reliés de manière articulée et repliable les éléments du châssis (1) roulant et à l'autre branche (22) duquel la dite branche (22) étant articulée et mobile, sont reliés de manière articulée les parallélogrammes déformables de la structure élévatrice (2), au moyen d'une traverse (16) à pliage central avec verrou (21) qui commande le pliage ou le blocage en ouverture de la structure élévatrice (2) et du châssis (1) roulant, un vérin à gaz (24) à action commandée étant disposé entre les branches (6, 22) du compas.
