In this process an engraving point or a stylus (2) is pressed, essentially purely under the effect of its own weight, against the recording support (4) and describes a trajectory which, during the engraving of a hollow or above and between two hollows, is located at or above the non-deformed surface of the recording support (4), whereby the common position of the centres of gravity of the engraving point (2) and the adjusting element (1) rigidly fixed thereto remains essentially stable.

Procédé et dispositif d'enregistrement d'un signal numérique sur un support d'enregistrement (4), notamment d'un signal destiné à être enregistré dans le format de données du disque compact. Dans ce procédé, un burin de gravure ou de matriçage (2) est appuyé, essentiellement sous l'effet de son propre poids, contre le support d'enregistrement (4) et décrit une trajectoire qui, pendant la gravure d'un creux au-dessous de et entre deux creux, se situe au niveau ou au-dessus de la surface non déformée du support d'enregistrement (4), la position commune des centres de gravité du burin de gravure (2) et de l'organe de réglage (1) qui lui est relié de manière rigide demeurant essentiellement stable.
