[origin: WO8701228A1] Security apparatus to generate an alarm on interference with a glass or similar panel (21). An air chamber (22) extending across the panel (21) is held at non-atmospheric pressure, preferably sub-atmospheric pressure, and an alarm (24) is responsive to change in pressure in that chamber on interference with the panel (21). The air chamber may be defined by a tubular duct (22) extending across the panel. The duct (22) may be formed by transparent tubing applied to a face of the panel (21) or it can be comprised of holes formed in the body of the panel. In an alternative construction, the panel is comprised of two parallel transparent sheets and the air chamber is defined between those sheets to extend continuously throughout a major part of the panel.

Dispositif de sécurité destiné à produire une alarme lorsque l'on touche à un panneau en verre ou similaire (21). Une chambre à air (22) s'étendant à travers le panneau (21) est maintenue à une pression non atmosphérique, de préférence à une pression sub-atmosphérique, et une alarme (24) est sensible à toute variation de pression dans cette chambre lorsque l'on touche au panneau (21). La chambre à air peut être définie par un conduit tubulaire (22) s'étendant à travers le panneau. Le conduit (22) peut être formé d'un tube transparent appliqué sur une face du panneau (21) ou bien il peut être constitué d'orifices formés dans le corps du panneau. Dans une variante, le panneau est constitué de deux feuilles transparentes parallèles entre lesquelles est définie la chambre à air qui s'étend de manière continue sur toute une grande partie du panneau.
