[origin: EP0232474A2] A tacker (1) with a power drive (3, 4) and a repeat-action control is provided. The repeat-action control comprises a device with a handle (33) for releasing a driving impact and with a feeler (15) which can be moved when the tacker (1) is applied to a workpiece. Connected to the feeler (15) is an impact repetition stop (59, 60) which forces the tacker to be lifted off from the workpiece before a new impact. This prevents operating faults resulting from the successive striking of fastenings, repeated impacts in the case of tackers being impossible without a new supply of fastenings. <IMAGE>
