A composition containing a) at least one organic polymer and b) a dibenzalacetone palladium complex which is homogeneously dissolved in this polymer but is not copolymerisable therewith and which is of formula I see diagramm : EP0233145,P12,F1 wherein R**1 is hydrogen, C1 -C18 alkyl, C1 -C18 alkoxy or unsubstituted or substituted phenyl. R**2 has one of the meanings of R**1 or is also an amino, nitro or cyano group, an Ö(O-Cm H2m Ö)n OR**4 or -O-CH2 -CH.OR**4 -CH2 .OR**5 radical or a halogen atom or a glycidyl ether radical, R**3 is hydrogen or C1 -C4 alkyl or the two groups R**3 together form a polymethylene chain of 2 to 4 carbon atoms R**4 and R**5 have one of the meanings of R**1 , q is a number from 1 to 3.5, m is a number from 2 to 6 and n is a number from 0 to 20, with the proviso that the composition does not contain a polymer with an olefinic double bond.

Beansprucht werden Zusammensetzungen enthaltend a) mindestens ein organisches Polymeres und b) in diesem Polymeren einheitlich gelöst aber nicht damit copolymerisierbar einen Komplex der Formel I <IMAGE> worin R¹ Wasserstoff, C1-C18Alkyl, C1-C18Alkoxy oder gegebenenfalls substituiertes Phenyl ist, R² eine der Bedeutungen von R¹ annimmt oder zusätzlich eine Amino-, Nitro- oder Cyangruppe darstellt, ein Rest ?O-CmH2m ?nOR<4> oder -O-CH2-CH·OR<4>-CH2·OR<5> oder ein Halogenatom oder ein Glycidyletherrest ist, R³ Wasserstoff oder C1-C4Alkyl ist oder die beiden Gruppen R³ zusammen eine Polymethylenkette von 2-4 Kohlenstoffatomen bilden, R<4> und R<5> eine der Bedeutungen von R¹ besitzen, q eine Zahl von 1 bis 3,5 ist, m für eine Zahl von 2 bis 6 und n für eine Zahl von 0 bis 20 steht, mit der Massgabe, dass die Zusammensetzung kein Polymeres mit einer olefinischen Doppelbindung enthält. Die Zusammensetzungen lassen sich zur stromlosen Metallabscheidung oder zur Herstellung leitfähiger Muster verwenden.
