Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0233172A2] A stainless-steel plate (1) for the drainage of wet masonry, which is driven into the masonry, is made corrugated in order to increase its rigidity. To prevent the plate (1) from warping when it is driven into the masonry, the cross-sectional profile (3) of the waves (2) is made curved over its entire course, so that adjacent wave profiles (4) merge into one another via turning points (5) of the profile curve, plane surface pieces being avoided. For producing the plates (1), there is a rolling device having two shaping rollers (7, 8) possessing, in cross-section, a gearwheel-shaped profile which forms axially extending shaping ribs (9, 10) engaging into one another. The shaping ribs (9, 10) are designed on their flanks (13, 14) as an involute profile adjoined by the profile of the addendum circle (15) and of the dedendum circle (16). The engagement angle (18) of the shaping ribs (9, 10) amounts in the region of the rolling circle (11, 12) to at least 30 DEG , and the tooth height (17) of the shaping ribs (9, 10) is at least 15% of the radius of the rolling circle (11, 12). <IMAGE>

[origin: EP0233172A2] The stainless-steel plate is for drying out damp masonry, into which it is driven. It is corrugated for increased rigidity, the axes of the corrugations running in the driving direction. The cross-section of the corrugations (3,2) is curved at all points, adjacent corrugations (4) being joined at points (5) where the curvature reverses without any intervening flat portion. They are pref. of hard and non-stretching material. The profile can be circular or sinusoidal.
