Process for weaving a double carpet (1) in which the bottom (2, 3) of each part (4, 5) is obtained by simultaneous weaving of two cloths (6 and 7, 8 and 9) superposed and joined together, consisting in employing, for the weaving of the two outer (6, 8) and inner (7, 9) cloths of each part (4, 5), four warp yarns (I, II, III, IV), (V, VI, VII, VIII) which work in groups of two (I, II), (III, IV) - (V, VI), (VII, VIII) with two different weaves, each of the yarns of one of the groups of warp yarns interacting with one of each pair of weft yarns to produce a cloth I-I, while each of the yarns of the other group of warp yarns interacts with all the weft yarns, in pairs, and immediately adjoining, to produce a cloth 2-2 and to ensure the joining of the two cloths (6 and 7), (8 and 9) of each part (4, 5). <IMAGE>

Procédé de tissage d'un tapis double pièce (1), dont le fond (2,3) de chaque pièce (4,5) est obtenu par tissage simultané de deux toiles (6 et 7, 8 et 9) superposées réunies entre elles, consistant à utiliser, pour le tissage des deux toiles externe (6,8) et interne (7,9) de chaque pièce (4,5), quatre fils de chaîne (I,II,III,IV), (V,VI,VII, VIII) qui travaillent par groupes de deux (I,II), (III,IV) - (V,VI), (VII,VIII) avec deux armures différentes, les fils d'un des groupes de fils de chaîne coopérant chacun avec un fil de trame sur deux pour réaliser une toile I-I, tandis que les fils de l'autre groupe de fils de chaîne coopèrent chacun avec tous les fils de trame, deux par deux et immédiatement voisins, pour réaliser une toile 2-2 et assurer la réunion des deux toiles (6 et 7), (8 et 9) de chaque pièce (4,5).
