[origin: EP0233491A2] The blank has two paper portions (1; 2) which correspond to the front and reverse side of the cover and are integrally connected to each other via a folding line (3). One of the paper portions is fitted with two adhesive edge strips (4, 5) arranged opposite one another which can be folded over. The plastic double film (6) is held on the paper portion provided with the adhesive edge strips and is connected to said portion with overlapping of the folding line (3) of the paper portions at least along a part of their edge regions (6a; 6b). The paper portions (1 or 2) have a greater length by one edge strip (1a or 2a) than the finished cover. These edge strips are constructed as adhesive strips and the adhesive edge strips (4, 5), which can be folded over and are provided on the one portion, end at a distance (a) from the folding line.
