[origin: WO8704771A1] A fluorescent lamp includes a fluorescent tube and a connecting element for establishing a connection with a source of current. The fluorescent lamp can be easily and firmly connected to the mains in various parts of a building. For this purpose, the connecting element is shaped into a housing which carries the fluorescent tube. Preferably, the connecting element has the form of a mains plug with contact plugs connected to the fluorescent tube in an electrically conductive way and projecting on one side, and the area of the mains plug which faces the contact plugs is shaped as a housing.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Leuchtstofflampe mit einer Leuchtstofflampenröhre und mit einem Anschlußelement für den Anschluß an eine Stromquelle. Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Leuchtstofflampe zu schaffen, die in unterschiedlichen Räumlichkeiten in einfacher Weise an Netzspannung angeschlossen und mit ausreichendem Halt angeordnet werden kann. Die Aufgabe ist erfindungsgemäß durch eine Leuchtstofflampe gelöst worden, die sich dadurch auszeichnet, daß das Anschlußelement zu einem die Leuchtstofflampenröhre tragenden Gehäuse ausgeformt ist. Vorzugsweise ist das Anschlußelement als ein Netzsteckerkörper mit einseitig vorstehenden, mit der Leuchtstofflampenröhre elektrisch leitend verbundenen Steckkontakten ausgebildet und ist der den Steckkontakten gegenüberliegende Bereich des Netzsteckerkörpers als Gehäuse ausgebildet.
