[origin: EP0233597A2] So that the chocks containing roll bearings can be guided in windows of stand housings with little frictional losses and if need be in such a way that they can be set horizontally, the chocks or the guide pieces guiding them are pivotably connected to guide links which are pivotable around pivot pins arranged on the housing beams. If the pivot pins guiding the guide links are designed as eccentric pins with adjusting devices allocated to them, horizontal settings can be made with little effort just as easily as re-adjustments of the guide clearance can be made, or else, for example, guide pieces can be retracted for carrying out the roll change. <IMAGE>
