Abstract (en)
Apparatus for use in launching a structure from a deck, comprises a support frame (1) adapted to receive a structure (5) and to move linearly across the deck between a storage position for the structure and a launch position adjacent an edge of the deck. Stop means (16) are provided at said launch position for preventing further linear movement of the support frame and are adapted to allow pivotal movement of the support frame (1) at said launch position so that when pivoted the support frame (1) holds the structure (5) beyond the edge of the deck. Winch means are provided for lowering the structure from the support.
