1. Improved air filter, particularly for an internal combustion engine, which has a filter case (1) defining a resonator volume (4) connected to an intake chamber (5) via a roughly cylindrical neck (6), and a cover (7) fixed to said case by means of a nut (21) screwed onto a free end of a threaded rod (20), whereof the other end is fixed in the axis of the neck (6), an acoustic and vibratory control grid (17, 25) being placed on the end of the neck (6), issuing into the intake chamber (5), around the threaded rod, characterized in that said grid (17, 25) has a tubular central sleeve (18, 26) having a tapped part (19, 27) cooperating with the threaded rod (20) in order to maintain said grid in position on said end of the neck.

Ce filtre à air comporte un boitier de filtre (2) définissant un volume résonateur relié à une chambre d'admission (5) par l'intermédiaire d'un col (6) à peu près cylindrique, et un couvercle (7) fixé sur le boitier par l'intermédiaire d'un écrou (21) vissé sur l'extrémité libre d'une tigre filetée (20), dont l'autre extrémité est fixée dans l'axe du col (6). Une grille d'asservissement vibratoire et acoustique (17) est disposée sur l'extrémité du col, débouchant dans la chambre d'admission (5), autour de la tige filetée. Cette grille (17) comporte un manchon central tubulaire (18) présentant une partie taraudée (19) coopérant avec la tige filetée (20) pour maintenir ladite grille (17) en position sur l'extrémité du col. Avantageusement, la grille et le manchon sont moulés d'une seule pièce en matière plastique.
