[origin: EP0234209A2] The invention relates to a wadding sheet for use as upholstery cushion, filling material or the like, in particular for seat cushioning and mattresses, having a covering on both sides comprising a textile sheet material, in particular a nonwoven, woven or knitted fabric, joined to the wadding layer along a line. To ensure adequate cohesion between the covering and the wadding layer even during processing and to preserve the cushioning effect on all sides, the invention proposes that each covering side should be needled to the wadding layer and that the needle lines on the two covering sides should be offset relative to one another in a pipe arrangement. In other words, which covering side has been needled to the wadding layer alternates.
