[origin: EP0234234A2] The crate is made of an integral foldable blank which consists of a bottom, to which in each case opposite end and side walls are attached, of which the side walls each bear at their upper longitudinal edge a perforated plate provided with recesses for the positionally secure accommodation of containers or the like. The perforated plate has a width corresponding to approximately half the width of the bottom and lid support tabs which are folded downwards, are punched from one of said recesses in each case and are bonded to attachment strips which are punched out of the bottom, are bent upwards in opposite directions and lie parallel to the side walls. In order to improve the rigidity, it is proposed that in each case two attachment strips, together with the lid support tabs bonded to their inside, form a hollow support web, which tapers conically upwards in cross-section, between the perforated plate and the bottom.
