[origin: WO8704583A1] In this arc furnace, in particle for the melting of steel, three electrodes (1) arranged symmetrically in a circle are connected to the phases via contact pieces (5) mounted on horizontal support arms. To optimise the current supply to the contact pieces (5) and reduce the reactance losses in the overall set-up, the contact pieces (5) are arranged symmetrical to the centre inside the electrode circle (2).

Bei diesem Lichtbogenofen, insbesondere zum Schmelzen von Stahl, sind drei symmetrisch auf einem Kreis angeordnete Elektroden (1) durch an horizontalen Tragarmen gelagerte Kontaktbacken (5) an den Phasen angeschlossen. Zur Optimierung der Strombeaufschlagung der Kontaktbacken (5) und zur Verminderung der Reaktanzverluste der Gesamtanordnung sind die Kontaktbacken (5) zentralsymmetrisch innerhalb des Elektrodenteilkreises (2) angeordnet.
