[origin: EP0234542A2] The independent aerial-target simulation device for air defence systems has equipment, integrated into the air defence system, for example combat space of an air defence tank or into the optical aiming means of the air defence system, for the detection and storage of flight-path data of real aerial targets with flight profiles correspondingly related to the terrain. The flight data evaluated in a fire control radar are indicated on a video display after preparation in a processor memory device and after conversion into video signals. The video image is coupled into the beam path of the optical tracking sensor by means of an optical device. <IMAGE>
