[origin: EP0234596A2] To design a till drawer for cash registers with as short an opening travel as possible, a relatively wide drawer tray 1 is arranged on a carriage 3 which can be extended from a drawer casing 5. The drawer tray 1 rests, by means of an outwardly projecting web 33 at the top edge of the side faces 35, on a plurality of supporting rollers 32 which are mounted on lateral struts 21 of the carriage 3. When required, the drawer tray 1 can be moved out on the extended carriage a further additional travel until a catch hook 38 arranged on the drawer tray 1 strikes against the stop 37. <IMAGE>
