[origin: WO8604393A1] A vane cell pump having a pump body (1) comprises a rotor (6) provided with radially moving vanes (7), connected to a main shaft (5) and arranged between the front wall (10) of a bearing plate (9) and a front wall (16) of a counter plate or inside a portion of the body (1), as well as a curved ring (8) surrounding the rotor. Discharge and suction chambers are delimited by both front walls (10, 16), the rotor (6) and the curved ring (8). In the region of the discharge chambers are provided in the bearing plate (9) passage openings (11, 12) communicating with an opening (14) or evacuating the pressure medium. In the area of the discharge chambers, in the wall (16) of the counter plate or in the portion of the body (1) where the primary shaft is mounted, there are provided pressure equalization openings. The latter are designed as dumping rooms (17, 18) which project from the wall (16) up into the body (1) situated behind.
