[origin: WO8701524A1] An electrical supply rail system for a room to provide access to power and signals at any selected location therein, and comprising an electrical supply rail (10)(11) for fixture as a skirting board to the walls of the room, and electrical branching devices (36) for plugging into the supply rail where desired, the supply rail having at least one access channel (14) formed in the front face of the rail, a plurality of overhead vertical spaced passages (21) communicating with the roof (17) of the channel (14) and bus-bars (23) fixed in side wall of the passages (21) and each of the electrical branching devices (36) being connectable to an electrical appliance and having a stem (40) with at least one radial tine (39) thereon for engagement with at least one of the bus-bars (23) when the branching device (36) is inserted and rotated with respect to the channel (14).

Le système ci-décrit, destiné à une pièce, permet d'accéder, à tout endroit sélectionné de celui-ci, au courant électrique et au branchement, et comporte une cornière (10) (11) pour alimentation électrique se fixant comme une plinthe sur les murs de la pièce, et des dispositifs de dérivation électrique (36) permettant le branchement sur la cornière à l'emplacement désiré, ladite cornière possédant au moins un canal d'accès (14) formé dans sa face frontale, une pluralité de passages verticaux (21) espacés s'ouvrant de haut en bas et communiquant avec le toit (17) du canal (14) et des barres omnibus (23) fixées dans la paroi latérale des passages (21). Chacun des dispositifs de dérivation électrique (36) peut être connectée à un appareil électrique et présente une tige (40) pourvu d'au moins une pointe radiale (39) pour permettre l'engagement dans au moins une des barres omnibus (23) lorsqu'on insère le dispositif de dérivation (36) et qu'on le fait tourner par rapport au canal (14).
