[origin: WO8701523A1] An ignition device (4) is disclosed for internal combustion engines comprising a precombustion chamber (7) near the spark plug (5) and a connection (8) serving as a throttle (9) between the precombustion chamber and combustion chamber (6) of the engine. The purpose of the invention is to provide an ignition device which allows the use of normal spark plugs with only minimal structural modifications. To achieve this, the throttle line (8) is at least as long as the distance (14) between the ignition electrode and the start of the throttle line. It is thus possible to use inexpensive spark plugs which are mass-produced. Flowing through several gas lines, the mixture reaches the central electrode of the plug; or a large duct becomes narrow in the region of the central electrode and in the outflow direction a high speed is achieved in the direction of flow by the Laval nozzle effect, with the result that the ignited gas leads to quick and complete combustion of the main gas mixture.

Un dispositif d'allumage (4) est proposé pour des moteurs à combustion interne comprenant une chambre de précombustion (7) au niveau de la bougie d'allumage (5) et une connexion (8) servant de ligne d'étranglement entre la chambre de précombustion et la chambre de combustion (6) du moteur. Le but de l'invention est de créer un dispositif d'allumage qui permette l'utilisation de bougies ordinaires d'allumage avec uniquement des modifications structurales minimes. Pour ce faire, la ligne d'étranglement (8) est au moins aussi longue que la distance (14) entre l'électrode d'allumage et le début de la ligne d'étranglement. On peut ainsi utiliser des bougies d'allumage peu coûteuses, fabriquées en série, l'écoulement dans plusieurs conduites de gaz amène le mélange à l'électrode centrale de la bougie ou un large canal de passage se rétrécit à proximité de l'électrode centrale, et l'on obtient grâce à un effet de tuyère de Laval une vitesse élevée dans le sens de sortie de l'écoulement, ce qui fait que le gaz allumé provoque une combustion rapide et complète du mélange principal.
