1. A protective helmet (1), more particularly for users of motor vehicles, comprising a window opening (2) adapted to be covered by a window shield (3) and ventilation openings (7) disposed on a chin guard (4) and having an air guide device below their bottom edge, characterised in that the air guide device comprises an air guide part (10) projecting from the adjacent contour of the chin guard (4) and having a narrow underside (11) serving as an incident flow surface (11) and directed substantially towards the air stream (c) flowing downwards over the window shield (3).

Ein Schutzhelm (1) hat im Bereich seines Kinnschutzes (4) mehrere nebeneinanderliegende Belüftungsöffnungen (7). Diese sind jeweils von einem rahmenartigen Luftleitteil (10) umgeben, das jeweils eine über die angrenzende Kontur des Kinnschutzes (4) im Querschnitt nasenartig hinausragende untenliegende Schmalseite (11) aufweist. Durch diese ist gewährleistet, daß der beim Fahrbetrieb des Motorrads über die Sichtscheibe (3) abwärts fließende Luftstrom (c) unter Passage der Belüftungsöffnungen (7) in den Helminnenraum (1') zu dessen Belüftung eingeleitet wird.
