The IR oven is characterised by a combination of three features: The grill (24) arranged in the centre of the oven for accommodating the product to be heated is motionally connected to the oven door (26) and is pulled partially out of the oven when the door is opened; the bar-shaped IR emitters (21, 22), which are built in above and below the grill, are arranged in the caustic line of an associated concave mirror (18, 19); programming circuitry (31, 32) is provided, with which the duration and the number of heating periods following one another and separated from one another by switch-off pauses can be set. The features mentioned make it possible to remove the product to be heated from the oven without danger, to utilise the IR radiation optimally and to heat the product uniformly. <IMAGE>

Der IR-Ofen zeichnet sich durch die Kombination von drei Merkmalen aus: Der in der Ofenmitte angeordnete Rost (24) zum Aufstellen des zu erwärmenden Guts ist mit der Ofentür (26) bewegungsverbunden und wird beim Öffnen der Tür teilweise aus dem Ofen herausgezogen; die über und unter dem Rost eingebauten, stabförmigen IR-Strahler (21, 22) sind in der Brennlinie eines zugeordneten Hohlspiegels (18, 19) angeordnet; es ist eine Programmschaltung (31, 32) vorgesehen, mit der die Dauer und die Anzahl aufeinanderfolgender und durch Abschaltpausen voneinander getrennter Wärmeperioden einstellbar sind. Die genannten Merkmale ermöglichen, das zu erwärmende Gut gefahrlos aus dem Ofen zu entnehmen, die IR-Strahlung optimal zu nutzen und das Gut gleichmässig zu erwärmen.
