Abstract (en)
[origin: WO8701582A1] For an external catheter (2) for a male urinary incontinence equipment comprising a soft elastic thin-walled, substantially cylindrical body portion which is open at one end and at the other end merges into a narrowed drainage tube portion (5) for connection with a collection bag and is delivered to the user with the body portion rolled up from the open end towards the drainage tube portion, the arrangement on the penis is facilitated by means of an applicator having an annular or tubular element (1) of a resilient thin-walled material having a greater rigidity than the catheter (2). The element (1) is designed for arrangement outside the catheter (2) so as to surround the catheter from the drainage tube portion (5) thereof through an axial length corresponding substantially to the length of the penis glans. The rolled-up portion of the catheter (2) in the supply condition is retained at one end of the applicator. In extension of the annular or tubular element (1) the applicator has a closed narrowed tube portion (4) for accommodating and protecting the drainage tube portion (5) of the catheter.
