Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0236601A1] Apparatus for forming a woven seam (10) to join opposite fringed ends (12 and 14) of a woven fabric belt is provided. A Jacquard machine causes the weft threads to form a shed opening. Successive warp threads (24) from each fringe are gripped by an arm (28) and pulled through the shed and woven into the weft threads (18) of a separate strip (16).
