The folding furniture, having a guide groove in each rear leg for the purpose of collapsing the furniture, is provided in the region of the guide groove with catch elements which allow the seat to be set at different inclinations relative to the horizontal. According to a first embodiment, several catch indentations are provided in each case at one end of the guide groove. In a second embodiment, catch grooves are formed at one end of the guide groove which extend at an obtuse angle from said guide groove largely parallel to one another. An adjusting device for folding furniture has a catch device which is formed projecting downwards in the region of one armrest and interacts with an element which projects laterally in the region of a connection portion between a front and a rear leg of the folding furniture. According to a preferred embodiment, the catch device is provided in the form of a plate which contains catch indentations extending from a guide slot so that the element provided in the form of a pin can be engaged in different catch indentations. <IMAGE>

Ein Klappmöbel mit einer Führungsnut in jedem Hinterbein zum Zwecke des Zusammenklappens des Möbels ist im Bereich der Führungsnut mit Rastelementen versehen, welche die Einstellung des Sitzes in unterschiedlicher Neigung gegenüber der Horizontalen ermöglicht. Nach einer ersten Ausführungsform sind an einem Ende der Führungsnut jeweils mehrere Rastvertiefungen vorgesehen, während bei einer zweiten Ausführungsform an einem Ende der Führungsnut von dieser unter einem stumpfen Winkel weglaufende, zueinander weitgehend parallele Rastnuten ausgebildet sind. Eine Verstellvorrichtung für Klappmöbel weist eine im Bereich einer Armlehne nach unten abstehend ausgebildete Rasteinrichtung auf, die zusammenwirkt mit einem Element, das im Bereich eines Verbindungsabschnittes zwischen einem Vorder- und Hinterbein des Klappmöbels seitlich wegsteht. Nach einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform ist die Rasteinrichtung in Form einer Platte vorgesehen, die von einem Führungsschlitz ausgehende Rastvertiefungen enthält, so daß das in Form eines Zapfens vorgesehene Element in unterschiedlichen Rastvertiefungen einrastbar ist.
