Abstract (en)

[origin: US4725224A] A boiler furnace normally used for firing natural gas and designed for temporary operation with an emergency fuel consisting of fuel oil is equipped with a device which makes use of blowers for delivering air to the burners. The device includes in particular an auxiliary blower for delivering a supplemental air flow to the burners while they are being used for firing fuel oil. No provision is made for recycling of flue gases in the flue-gas removal circuit and the burners are preferably of a tiltable type.

Dispositif d'alimentation d'un foyer de chaudière (1) fonctionnant normalement au gaz naturel avec des ventilateurs (6, 7) d'envoi d'air aux brûleurs (2, 3, 4, 5) pour fonctionnement temporaire avec un combustible de secours constitué par du mazout. Il comporte un ventilateur d'appoint (19) d'envoi d'un débit supplémentaire d'air aux brûleurs lors de leur fonctionnement au mazout, et le circuit d'évacuation des fumées (14, 15) ne comporte aucun recyclage de celles-ci. Les brûleurs sont de préférence inclinables.
