Abstract (en)
The apparatus is intended to permit the motorically handicapped to move in an upright position, by way of oscillation, to sit in a normal position or in an inclined position for relaxation, without help and without the provision of external energy. It consists of a framework (1) bearing support breeches (2) in which the user is suspended by the pelvis, held on a back part (3) by struts (4), his inanimate legs being positioned in a support (6) integral with a collapsible seat (7). Two pairs of lateral articulated legs (8,9,10,11) allow the user to move by displacement of the centre of gravity of the assembly beyond the bearing point of the legs positioned to the front, by pushing on walking sticks, for example. Two operating handles (24) and (25) allow the desired position to be adopted (standing, inclined for relaxation, seated). The invention is intended to offer the motorically handicapped an alternative to the wheelchair, allowing them to lead a life which is more independent and more akin to that of able-bodied persons.

Appareillage destiné à permettre aux handicapés moteurs de se déplacer en position debout, par marche pendulaire, de s'asseoir en position normale ou inclinée pour la relaxation, sans aide ni apport d'énergie extérieure constitué d'une armature (1), supportant une culotte de soutien (2) dans laquelle l'utilisateur est suspendu par le bassin, retenu sur un dossier (3) par des bretelles (4), ses jambes inanimées étant placées dans un support (6), solidaire d'un siège escamotable (7). Deux paires de jambes articulées latérales (8,9, 10, 11), permettent à l'utilisateur de se mouvoir de déplacement du centre de gravité de l'ensemble au-delà du point d'appui des jambes positionnées à l'avant, en poussant sur des cannes anglaises, par exemple. Deux manivelles, (24) et (25), permettent d'adopter la position souhaitée (debout, inclinée pour la relaxation, assise). L'invention est destinée à offrir aux handicapés moteurs une alternative au fauteuil roulant, leur permettant une vie plus autonome et plus proche de celle des valides.
