Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0237842A2] Hand-tool (1) with a socket (2) for an auxiliary handle (3). The auxiliary handle (3) is designed rigid per se and without a vibration-damping member to protect the user. A tubular piece (4) having an internal thread (5) and a damping member (6) surrounding it is vulcanised into the socket (2). The damping action of this damping member (6) can be matched precisely to the vibration characteristic of the hand-tool. Any conventional auxiliary handle without damping is usable. <IMAGE>
