Between two outer covering layers (2, 3) made of solid cardboard, the cover (1) may likewise also have an intermediate layer (4) made of a dimensionally stable plastic, preferably of foamed material, by which means a lower weight of the covers is achieved with the same strength as in covers made of solid cardboard, by which means in particular large-format printed products can also be handled more easily.
