[origin: EP0238029A2] The high-tension switch has a switching head (10) supported by a piston-cylinder unit (27), such that it can move linearly along one axis of a vessel (20) filled with dielectric oil, on which switching head (10) there are arranged at least two contact pieces (a', b'), which are electrically conductively connected to one another and each face a fixed mating contact piece (a, b) on the same side of the switching head (10) in the direction parallel to the axis. At least one contact piece (a, b) of each contact piece pair is designed to be flexible, so that it deflects elastically when it makes mutual contact with the respective other contact piece. <IMAGE>
