[origin: US4854758A] The application device is placed in a container having a wick applicator, wherein a neck of the container is provided with a socket-shaped support piece having a bottom portion and at least one port adjacent the bottom portion, opening and tight closing of the at least one port being controlled by a guidingly and drivingly controllable sliding sleeve forming a slide valve containing a wick protruding above an upper end of the sleeve.
