[origin: EP0238454A2] The roofing tile comprises a rectangular plate (1) with the transverse edges folded over at right angles, the top one to the rear and the bottom one to the front, so as to form a protrusion (10) with a groove (12, 14) parallel to the edge, and open to the top and bottom respectively. This allows the tile to engage with adjacent tiles above and below in the direction of the roof slope.
