Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0238877A2] A sensing device for tracing the contour of openings (23) of spectacles for the circumferential grinding of spectacle lenses, having an axially movable sensing rod (21) engaging by means of a sensing part (24) in the groove of the frame opening (23), and also a movable plate (8) to which the spectacle frame (14) is detachably fastened, and a measurement transducer for the movement of the sensing part. In such a device, the values defining the space curve of an opening of the spectacle frame are to be determined by means which are of simple design, can readily be operated and surveyed, and also take up little space. To this end, the invention provides for the plate (8) carrying the spectacle frame (14) to be continuously rotatable about a stationary vertical axis (M), for the sensing rod (21) guided in a straight line to be arranged on a supporting part (slide 18) and to be movable with the latter on a straight path parallel to the plate plane, and for a first displacement transducer (30, 31) of the sensing rod to be arranged on this supporting part (18) and for a second displacement transducer (36, 37), perpendicular hereto and located in the direction of movement of the supporting part (18), to be arranged between the supporting part (18) and a stationary part (4a) of the device, the measured values from both displacement transducers (30, 31; 36, 37) being fed together with the measured values from an angle transducer (motor 12) to a control device (33).
