[origin: EP0238888A2] A cutting clamp (1) has a centre clamping slot (2) which is formed between two clamping jaws (3). The latter have an incline (4) on their free end side which runs at an acute angle with respect to the clamping slot (2). When an insulated electrical wire (6) is pressed in, its insulation is penetrated by the tips of the clamping jaws and forced outwards, and the metallic core of the wire (6) is clamped between the clamping jaws (3). <IMAGE>
