Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0239532A1] 1. Sealing and fixing strip made of elastic material for mounting glass panes or the like in frames which consist of wood, metal or plastics, said strip having a sealing lip (1) intended for resting against the pane or the like (8), the sealing lip having a thickened tip (101) with a supporting area (102) coming to rest against the pane or the like (8) and a base (2) which extends from a transition area (11) adjacent to the root (103) of the sealing lip (1) in a direction substantially opposite to the latter and which is equipped on at least its one side with anchoring tips (5) whose longitudinal center axis (41) extend from said base in a direction inclined towards the sealing lip and further comprises a surface that lies on the same side as the rear side of the sealing lip (1) opposite the supporting area (102) and constitutes a contacting and supporting area (3) immediately adjoining the transition area (11) in order to transmit to the frame (7) the pressure of the sealing lip (1) deformed by its resting against the pane or the like (8), characterized in that the contacting and supporting area (3) extends only over a small fraction of the height of the base (2) and that the area of the base (2) adjacent to said area (3) either is withdrawn or approaches, in the direction towards the free end of the base, the longitudinal center line (21) of the base (2) so that the contacting and supporting area (3) forms a protrusion for the sole transmission of said pressure.
