[origin: WO8701599A1] A respiratory care device utilizes pressurized oxygen to pump an oxygen/air mixture to the patient. The device comprises a coupled turbine and blower. The pressurized oxygen drives the turbine which pumps air through the blower. The oxygen may be mixed with the air in selected ratios and delivered to the patient. Droplets may be added to the oxygen, to the air or to the mixture, upstream or downstream of the device or within the device.

Dispositif pour soins respiratoires utilisant de l'oxygène sous pression pour pomper vers le patient un mélange d'oxygène/air. Le dispositif comprend une turbine et une soufflante couplées. L'oxygène sous pression entraîne la turbine qui pompe de l'air à travers la soufflante. L'oxygène peut être mélangé avec l'air dans des rapports sélectionnés et délivré au patient. Des gouttelettes peuvent être ajoutées à l'oxygène, à l'air ou au mélange, en amont ou en aval du dispositif ou à l'intérieur de celui-ci.
